Where imagination meets experience!

The Warwick Institute of Culture (The Wick) is located at Mountain Lake Park, on Bowen Road, the site of the former Kutz facilities in Warwick, NY.  Founded by artist and educator Emilee Dupré, The Wick is an incubator for artistic development of established and emerging talent, offering immersive experiences of art, education, and performance in a stunning and inspirational rural environment.

Our Mission is to:

  • Celebrate the local culture, art and natural environment of Warwick, NY.
  • Cultivate a sense of belonging, well-being, and creativity by encouraging
artistic curiosity and meeting it with great imagination and experience.
  • Serve as an incubator for artists and artisans where they can refine their
    unique artistic gifts.
  • Create a sustainable collective future that engages, inspires and empowers
    the community and its visitors.

Devoted to nurturing lifelong learning for all ages, The Wick is a broadly inclusive organization dedicated to a prestigious quality of artistry and training, providing the people of Warwick and its visitors with access to unique artistic, cultural, and educational opportunities while utilizing local talent to promote local businesses and enrich our existing community year round.

We collaborate with our community in Orange County by partnering with local companies and organizations.  We are honored to co-produce with Greenwood Lake Theater and The Holy Theatre at the Wick, working with Greenwood to produce youth educational programs such as this summer’s Shakespeare Camp in June and upcoming productions like “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

We are currently developing the work of playwrights and screenwriters T.J. Brady, Doug DeVita, Sara Rose Kearns, Ebony Vines, Richard MacDonald, Julia Barrett-Mitchell.  As we move forward with these artists and their exciting new works, we promote the readings, workshops, and productions on The Wick’s website , IG and FB.

Celebrate with us in person on May 17th for Broadway @ The Wick!  Broadway singers and Greenwood Lake Theater artists step up to the mic to support arts and culture in Warwick!   For May 17th show line-up, tickets, and summer educational programs, email [email protected].

Please follow us on IG and FB, check our calendar, and join us for upcoming events.
